Injectable Fillers

Injectable fillers smooth out or ‘fill in’ lines and wrinkles in the face, helping you to achieve a more youthful appearance without having to undergo surgery. Fillers can also be used to increase the fullness of sunken cheeks and narrow lips.

The best areas to treat using injectable fillers include:

  • Lips – to make them fuller and more defined
  • Forehead lines – frown lines running across the forehead
  • Facial scars – incurred as a result of acne or an injury
  • Crow’s feet – lines that form on the outer corners of the eyes
  • Cheeks – to make them more full
  • Naso-labial lines – lines in-between the mouth and nose
  • Marionette lines – vertical lines that run down the chin
  • Glabeller lines – frown lines above the nose and between the eyebrows

The process

A number of small injections will be made into the targeted area. You will discuss the type of filler you require with your consultant prior to the procedure. Some fillers have permanent results, while others are more temporary.

No anaesthetic is administered for the procedure and treatment time can range from 30 minutes to one hour.

Recovery

Although your face may feel a little sore after the treatment, you are usually able to return to your day-to-day activities straight away.
